The Power of Volunteers

At the heart of Bulldog Rescue is a dedicated team of volunteers who work tirelessly to give bulldogs a second chance at a happy life. When the kennels reach capacity, amazing foster carers open their homes and hearts to bulldogs in need. This foster system is vital in ensuring the dogs receive individualised attention and care, helping them adjust and thrive in a home environment before finding their forever families.

For those local to the Midhurst area, there are plenty of ways to get involved. You can volunteer to help walk the dogs, assist around the kennels, or even foster a bulldog if you’re able. Every small effort goes a long way in improving the lives of these wonderful dogs.

Interested in Adopting?

If you're considering adopting an English Bulldog, Bulldog Rescue makes it easy to begin the process. You can register your interest and learn more about their vetting process through their website here. The vetting process ensures that each dog is matched with a suitable home that understands their unique needs, ensuring a smooth and happy transition for both the dog and their new family.

Microchip Registration: A Vital Step

Recently, Bulldog Rescue had the pleasure of hosting PeddyMark/Animal Tracker. We provide microchips, implantation training, and registration services. During the visit, we discussed how to simplify the process of transferring microchip details when dogs are rehomed. This is an important step in ensuring that the new keeper has full responsibility for their bulldog, allowing the rescue to keep accurate records and ensure the dog's well-being is continuously monitored.

One key takeaway from the discussion was the importance of educating new keepers on how to register their dog's microchip information promptly. Not only is this required by law, but it also ensures that the dog can be traced back to its new family should they ever go missing. Simplifying this process benefits everyone involved, from the rescue staff to the new bulldog owners.

A Big Thank You to Tania and the Volunteers

Finally, a huge thank you to Tania and her incredible team of volunteers at Bulldog Rescue. Their dedication and hard work make a world of difference to so many bulldogs. A special shoutout to the team for allowing us to spend time with the dogs and discuss such an important part of the rehoming process.

Bulldog Rescue in Midhurst is more than just a charity—it’s a community of caring individuals dedicated to the welfare of English Bulldogs. Whether you’re looking to adopt, volunteer, or simply support the cause, you’ll be making a real impact in the lives of these loyal and loving dogs.
